Chapter 13: A Garden of Hope

Spring arrived, bringing a brilliant rebirth to the grounds of the Sterling Estate. The garden was ablaze with blooming lilies, tulips, and rows upon rows of deep crimson roses.
The Rose Haven Foundation was now fully operational, having already assisted over fifty mothers in securing safe housing, legal aid, and medical care. The story of Elena’s resilience and Julian’s unwavering devotion had inspired donations from across the globe.
To celebrate the foundation's one-year anniversary, a peaceful garden gathering was held at the estate. Unlike the tense, ostentatious gala at the Grand Regent Hotel a year prior, this gathering was simple, warm, and filled with genuine laughter. Children ran across the green lawn, while mothers sat on white benches sharing stories of hope and recovery.
Elena stood on the stone patio, holding one-year-old Grace, who was now babbling happily and pointing at butterflies. Hope and Faith were near Julian, taking their very first wobbly steps across a soft picnic blanket, cheered on by Clara.
"Look at them, Julian!" Elena called out, her face radiant with joy. "They're walking!"

Julian knelt beside the blanket, catching Faith as she tumbled forward into his arms with a chorus of giggles. He lifted her high into the air, her crimson bow catching the bright spring sunlight.
"They're strong, just like their mother," Julian said, walking over to Elena with Faith in his arms and Hope clinging to his pant leg.
