Chapter 15 - The New Beginning

The struggle inside the ruined closet lasted only a few seconds, ending with a sharp, metallic clatter as Arthur’s firearms hit the wooden floorboards, skidding across the debris toward Detective Miller’s boots. Miller immediately kicked the weapons away, stepping into the doorway and slapping heavy steel handcuffs onto Arthur Pendelton’s wrists with practiced efficiency.
