Chapter 15 - Dawn of Justice

The statewide broadcast echoed loudly from the dashboard speakers of every police cruiser parked in the school lot. A solemn, authoritative voice filled the morning air, belonging to the federal prosecutor general himself.
"Attention all law enforcement personnel across the jurisdiction," the voice announced clearly over the airwaves. "By order of the federal grand jury, an emergency warrant has just been executed against state board chairman Arthur Sterling and all associated political PACs. Federal marshals have seized the physical offshore servers in Zurich, bypassing all local data wipes. The conspiracy has been fully exposed."
Officer Miller stopped in her tracks, looking down at the secure evidence bag containing Leo's micro-SD card. Maya let out a triumphant laugh, throwing her arms up in relief as the nightmare finally came to a definitive, irreversible end. The systemic corruption that had plagued the school district and exploited vulnerable families for decades had finally been brought crashing down by the unyielding courage of a young student and a dedicated police officer.
Leo turned to look at Lily, who offered a small, genuine smile—the first real smile she had shown all morning. The oppressive dark clouds that had hung over the classroom walls had finally parted, letting in the warm, brilliant light of true justice.
Officer Miller walked over, gently placing her hand on Lily’s shoulder one last time. "You never have to be afraid in this town again, Lily. Your voice mattered today."

Mrs. Gable and Superintendent Vance would face full federal prosecution, unable to use their wealth or political influence to escape accountability. The school board was immediately dissolved, replaced by an emergency oversight committee dedicated to restructuring educational funding and providing proper support systems for low-income families.
As the sirens in the distance finally faded into a peaceful quiet, Officer Miller climbed into the driver's seat of her cruiser, sliding the evidence bag safely onto the dashboard. She looked in the rearview mirror, watching Lily and Leo walk hand-in-hand toward the school gates to finally go home to their families. The classroom walls had crumbled under the weight of truth, but from those very ruins, a safer, brighter future had finally risen for every child in the community.
