Chapter 15: The Legacy

Five years later. The sun set softly over the city. Eleanor had passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 82, leaving behind an empire of restaurants and charities.
In the dining room of L’Étoile d’Or, a new customer walked in, looking lost and disheveled. A snobby waiter stepped forward to turn him away.
""Stop,"" a voice commanded. Victoria, now the CEO and Head Owner of the entire enterprise, walked forward in a modest black suit. She smiled warmly at the disheveled man. ""Right this way, sir. Your table is waiting.""
She led him not to the back, but to the best table by the window. As she poured his water, she looked up at a small portrait of Eleanor resting on the mantle. True wealth, Victoria finally understood, was not what you held in your hands, but what you gave away from your heart.
