Chapter 11: The Eviction Notice
Just as Victoria was finding peace, disaster struck. The building that housed ""The Hearth"" was owned by a massive corporate developer, Zenith Holdings. They sent an eviction notice. They planned to bulldoze the shelter to build luxury condos. Eleanor was heartbroken. ""We don't have the legal footing to stop them,"" she sighed, looking at the notice. ""We will have to relocate, but there are no buildings available in this district. Our people will starve.""
Victoria looked at the eviction notice, her eyes narrowing. The old corporate fire ignited in her chest, but this time, it wasn't fueled by greed. It was fueled by righteous anger.
