Chapter 6: Whispers in the Boardroom**

News of Marcus Sterling’s arrest and Chloe Vance’s indictment sent shockwaves through the financial sector. Speculators circled Vance Capital like vultures, assuming the scandal would destabilize Julian’s multi-billion-dollar enterprise.

Inside the boardroom of Vance Capital, the board members sat in tense murmurs.

"Julian's personal life is a public relations catastrophe," whispered Arthur Pendelton, the senior director. "If he steps aside, we can contain the fallout."

The heavy oak doors clicked open, and Julian entered. He wasn't wearing his usual crisp, detached corporate armor. He wore a simple charcoal suit, his gaze sharp, focused, and utterly devoid of fear.

"Good morning, gentlemen," Julian stated, taking his seat at the head of the table.

"Julian," Arthur began cautiously. "The press is tearing the family name apart. Perhaps a leave of absence—"

"The Vance name was built on integrity, Arthur, not PR spin," Julian cut in firmly. "Marcus Sterling exploited internal trust funds. I have personally injected fifty million dollars of my private capital to guarantee every single client account."

He placed a thick ledger on the table.

"Furthermore, twenty percent of all Vance Capital profits starting this quarter will be permanently redirected to establish the Evelyn Vance Foundation—funding elder abuse prevention, legal aid for domestic workers, and community shelters."

The room went dead silent. Julian was no longer just managing money; he was reshaping his purpose.
