CHAPTER 15: The Harmony of Tomorrow

Two years later, the sun set over a sprawling countryside estate in upstate New York. The old Vance mansion had been sold; in its place stood *The Clara House*, a music and rehabilitation sanctuary for orphaned children with physical disabilities.
The lawn was alive with the sound of laughter and running footsteps. Children with braces, wheelchairs, and prosthetic limbs played freely across the manicured gardens, while the sound of violins and flutes drifted from open studio windows.
Julian sat on the wide wrap-around porch, tuning an acoustic cello, watching the sunset paint the sky in shades of amber and rose.
The sound of footsteps approached. Lily, now ten years old, ran up the wooden steps with easy, athletic grace, her hazel eyes bright with vitality. She threw her arms around Julian’s neck, hugging him tightly.
“What are we playing tonight, Dad?” she asked, resting her chin on his shoulder.
Julian smiled, gesturing toward the twin grand pianos sitting side-by-side in the main hall, their keys catching the golden twilight.

“Whatever you want, Lily,” Julian replied, taking her hand in his. “The song is yours now.”
Together, they walked inside, their steps perfectly synchronized, filling the evening air with a melody that would never be forgotten again.
