Chapter 7: The Unraveling**

The boardroom speakers broadcast Victoria’s voice memos with crystal clarity. As the audio played, the room grew suffocatingly silent.
Arthur Sterling’s smug expression dissolved into pale terror. He reached for his water glass, his hand shaking so violently that the ice clinked loudly against the crystal. The other board members began whispering frantically, casting disgusted glances at Victoria.
"This recording is illegally obtained!" Victoria’s attorney objected, standing up abruptly. "It is inadmissible!"
Julian pressed a button, bringing up the official chain-of-custody documentation signed by a certified forensic examiner. "This drive was recovered from corporate-owned waste disposal within my residence, and the forensic handover was fully witnessed. Furthermore, the district attorney’s office has already been provided a duplicate."
At that moment, the double doors of the boardroom swung open. Three federal investigators in dark suits stepped inside, followed by two uniformed police officers.
"Victoria Vance and Arthur Sterling," the lead agent announced, flashing his badge. "You are under arrest for wire fraud, embezzlement, and conspiracy."
Victoria stood up, her face twisted in rage. She pointed directly at Emily. "You ruined my life! You were nothing!"

Emily stood tall, meeting her gaze without flinching. "I was an honest worker. You ruined your own life the day you thought people were disposable."
