That night, Emily sat with Julian over coffee in the foundation’s library, reviewing Clara’s documentation. The Sterling family remnants were indeed trying to offload illegal debts onto vulnerable domestic workers.

"We will assign our best legal team to Clara tomorrow morning pro bono," Julian said, signing the authorization form. "It amazes me how those with so much power still choose to prey on those with the least."

"Because they believe money shields them from consequences," Emily replied thoughtfully. "They confuse privilege with righteousness."

Julian looked at Emily with deep respect. "You changed this foundation, Emily. Before you, it was just a tax write-off with good publicity. You gave it a soul."

"We gave it a soul, Julian," Emily smiled softly. "By choosing the truth when it would have been easier to look away."
