Chapter 5: The Cracking Foundation**

The silence in the boardroom was absolute. Even the high-powered attorneys beside Eleanor froze, their eyes darting to the financial statements now resting in front of Marcus Vance.

Marcus flipped through the first few pages. His expression shifted from corporate sternness to utter shock. "Eleanor... what is this?"

"It’s fabricated nonsense from a rebellious son who married below his station," Eleanor snapped, though a sudden bead of sweat glistened along her hairline. "He is trying to deflect from his personal failings!"

"Every document has been authenticated by an independent forensic accountant," Julian said, standing up. "Mother, you used the foundation's money to pay off private investigators to follow Clara for two years. You paid off landlords, staged background checks, and attempted to fabricate legal grounds to declare her unfit as a mother."

Julian looked around the table, meeting the eyes of every board member. "My grandfather built this company on integrity and hard work. He gave Clara's father his first commercial driving job thirty years ago. He believed in people, not leverage. My mother forgot that. And if this board supports her, I will personally hand every single one of these files to the Federal Trade Commission before noon."

One by one, the board members shifted their posture. The corporate machine, which Eleanor had spent forty years commanding, began to turn against her.

Marcus slowly closed the binder. "Eleanor, I suggest you step outside while the committee confers."
