Chapter 14: The Verdict and Liberation**

The federal courtroom in lower Manhattan delivered its verdict on a crisp October morning. Eleanor Vance pled guilty to charges of wire fraud, corporate embezzlement, and misdemeanor assault as part of a negotiated plea agreement.
She was sentenced to four years at a federal correctional facility in Danbury, Connecticut, accompanied by twenty-four million dollars in restitution and community service mandates. As the bailiffs led her through the side door, she didn't look at the gallery. She looked at the floor, stripped of power, influence, and the empire she had worshipped above all else.
Outside the courthouse, reporters swarmed Julian and Clara on the granite steps. Microphones were thrust into their faces, cameras flashing in a relentless barrage.
Julian stopped, placing a protective arm around Clara’s shoulders, and addressed the press pool directly.
"Today isn't about the downfall of a wealthy family," Julian said clearly into the microphones. "It’s about a very simple truth: true power isn't measured by bank accounts, corporate titles, or social standing. It’s measured by how we treat the people we claim to love. My family is choosing a new path—one built on respect, kindness, and honest work."
