CHAPTER 10: The Evidence Exposed

Before the room could fully process the announcement, Julian stepped aside, allowing the massive digital display behind him to illuminate.

On the screen appeared bank transaction records, encrypted text messages, and offshore account numbers bearing the unmistakable signature of Senator Richard Vance and Board Chairman Arthur Pendelton.

"Furthermore," Julian continued with ruthless precision, "these documents—which have already been submitted to the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission—outline the systematic extortion and fraud orchestrated against this estate to cover seventy million dollars in illegal campaign liabilities."

Pandemonium broke out.

Reporters lunged forward with microphones, turning entirely away from Julian and swarming Senator Vance and Arthur Pendelton. Victoria stood up in absolute shock, her face pale as flashes illuminated her father attempting to push past federal agents who had just entered the back of the hall.

Julian did not watch the chaos. Instead, he stepped away from the podium, turned to Marisa, and gently lifted Valentina into his arms.

"Let's go home," Julian whispered over the roar of the crowd.
