Chapter 14: The Circle of Life

Ten years later, the morning sun shone brightly over Manhattan.

An older Arthur sat in his favorite armchair by the window of the brownstone, a warm fleece blanket resting over his knees. Though his hair was entirely silver now, his eyes remained bright and peaceful.

Leo, now twenty-eight and a successful human rights lawyer running the St. Jude Foundation, walked into the room carrying a warm cup of coffee. He placed it gently on the side table beside Arthur.

""How are you feeling today, Dad?"" Leo asked softly, calling Arthur 'Dad' as he had done naturally for years.

""I am content, Leo,"" Arthur smiled softly, looking out at the city skyline. ""Exceedingly content.""

That afternoon, surrounded by Clara, Leo, and Lily—who was now a brilliant university student—Arthur peacefully closed his eyes for the last time. There was no pain, no fear—only the deep, tranquil stillness of a man who had fulfilled his purpose on Earth and left the world far better than he found it.
