Chapter 7: The Blind Spot

Adrian smirked. "I never brought the certificates, Victor. I brought a beacon."

Before the guards could react, the high-powered maritime spotlights suddenly snapped off, plunging the entire harbor into pitch-black darkness. High above, federal helicopters roared into the airspace, powerful searchlights cutting through the clouds. Siren wails erupted from both land and sea as Coast Guard interceptor boats boxed in *The Leviathan*.

In the chaos, Adrian dropped low, sweeping the legs out from under the guard to his left. He grabbed Julian’s arm, pulling him behind a heavy steel forklift as gunfire sparked harmlessly against the thick metal plating.

"Vance came through," Julian breathed, clutching his cracked ribs.

"He did," Adrian replied, handing Julian an emergency flare. "Now we ensure those families get out."
