Chapter 11: Rebuilding from Ash

Two weeks later, the morning sun illuminated the grand hallway of the family estate. The broken marble floorboards had been replaced with solid, polished oak. Workers were repainting the walls, washing away the shadows of fear and deceit that had lingered in the house for years.
Elena sat on the sunlit veranda, sipping chamomile tea while watching Mia chase butterflies across the lush green lawn. The little girl laughed freely, the terror of that dark afternoon completely erased by the safety of her family.
Julian walked out onto the terrace, his bandages mostly removed, carrying a stack of legal documents. "We’re officially restructuring the entire shipping company into a non-profit maritime foundation. Half the fleet will be converted to deliver humanitarian aid and disaster relief."
Adrian stepped beside him, looking out at the gardens. "And the other half?"
