Six months passed, and the small workshop was thriving like never before. Kristen’s business savvy brought in corporate gifting accounts, while Leo’s custom birdhouses became the shop’s signature item. Local newspapers picked up the story of the veteran craftsman and the young prodigy twin.
One evening, after closing the store, Arthur sat Kristen down over tea in his office. He pushed a set of official legal documents across the rustic oak desk.
""What is this, Arthur?"" Kristen asked, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
""It’s a partnership agreement, Kristen,"" Arthur said with a warm, grandfatherly smile. ""I'm getting older, and my hands can't handle the tools like they used to. But you... you gave this shop a soul again. I want to make you a half-owner of Vance & Family Crafts.""
Tears sprang to Kristen’s eyes. ""Arthur, I can't accept this... I don't have the capital to buy into your business.""

That night, Kristen brought the kids home to a spacious, bright three-bedroom rental house with a backyard full of oak trees. Standing on the back porch, watching Leo hang a new birdhouse from a low oak branch, Kristen knew their lives had forever changed.
