A month later, while organizing the library to make room for Louis’s growing collection of science books, Julian discovered an old wooden jewelry box tucked in the back of the safe. It was Clara’s keepsake drawer—one he hadn't had the courage to open since her passing.
Inside, alongside childhood photographs and hand-drawn cards, lay an unsealed envelope marked: *“For Julian, when you are ready to love again.”*
Julian sat on the floor of the quiet library, his hands trembling as he opened the letter.

Julian pressed the letter against his chest, closing his eyes as warm tears streamed down his face. For years, he had carried guilt—the subconscious belief that moving on was a betrayal of the vows he had once made.
