Chapter 15: The Unbroken Tide

Maya walked across the green grass toward Julian, wearing a flowing white linen gown that danced with the sea breeze.

Julian took her hands in his, looking into the eyes that had held his soul safe across a decade of trials.

""Ten years ago, Maya,"" Julian spoke, his voice carrying the deep, immovable resonance of a man who had built his life on solid rock, ""I promised you that no one would ever separate us again. Today, I promise you that every day of our remaining lives will be dedicated to sheltering our children, serving our community, and honoring the truth.""

Maya smiled, tears of pure, radiant joy shining in her eyes.

""You gave our family a true foundation, Julian,"" Maya replied softly. ""You taught us that a family's strength is not measured by the walls they build to keep people out, but by the tables they set to welcome them in.""

The local pastor pronounced the blessing, and the small crowd erupted into joyful applause, their cheers carried away over the sparkling blue waters of the bay.

As the sun began its descent, painting the Atlantic horizon in vibrant strokes of gold, amber, and rose, the family walked down the wooden steps to the sandy shore.

Julian and Maya walked hand-in-hand along the water's edge, watching Leo and Noah race across the wet sand, their laughter ringing out like bells, while little Clara chased the retreating foam of the gentle waves.

The tide rolled in, smooth and eternal, washing away the footprints of the past, leaving behind only the wide, clean, unbroken shore.
