Chapter 4 - The Blind Rage of a Cornered Heir

The sudden, violent lunge caught everyone off guard, shattering the fragile tension of the grand foyer into instant chaos. Arthur’s fist cut through the air with reckless fury, aimed squarely at Julian’s jaw. But Julian was entirely prepared for the desperate act. With cold, practiced reflexes, he sidestepped the blow effortlessly, letting Arthur’s own momentum carry him off balance. Julian reached out, grabbed Arthur by the expensive silk lapels of his tuxedo, and slammed him hard against the nearest marble column with a dull, echoing thud.
Gasps echoed from the doorway as several high-society guests hurried outside, desperate to escape the unfolding scandal. Elena screamed, clawing at Julian’s sleeve, but a single, warning glance from his dark, unblinking eyes froze her in her tracks. Clara stood at the bottom of the stairs, clutching her cashmere shawl tightly around her, her chest heaving as she watched the man who had tormented her finally brought down to his knees.
"Violence, Arthur?" Julian asked, his voice chillingly quiet as he held the struggling heir pinned against the cold stone. "Is that really all you have left when your empire crumbles? No witty remarks? No forged contracts to save you?"
Arthur strained against Julian’s grip, his face flushed red with humiliation and rage, veins bulging at his temples. His expensive designer bowtie hung crookedly around his neck, utterly destroying the immaculate image he had meticulously crafted for the evening's gala.
"You think you've won?" Arthur choked out, spitting the words through clenched teeth, his breath reeking of expensive scotch and pure panic. "My father is still breathing, Julian. The board will never honor an execution order signed under duress. You're holding a piece of paper that won't survive thirty minutes in a courtroom!"
Julian tilted his head, a faint, humorless smile touching the corners of his lips. He did not loosen his grip by even a fraction of an inch. Instead, he reached into his pocket once more with his free hand, withdrawing a small, sleek black encrypted drive. He held it up directly in front of Arthur’s wide, bloodshot eyes, watching the exact second comprehension—and absolute terror—settled deep into the other man's soul.
"The court doesn't need your father's signature anymore, Arthur," Julian whispered, close enough that only the disgraced heir could hear every single, crushing word. "Not when we recovered the offshore server logs from the Cayman Islands this afternoon. Every shell company, every bribe, every cent embezzled from the hospital fund—it’s all right here."
Arthur stopped struggling entirely, his body going completely limp against the marble pillar as the brutal reality of total ruin crashed down upon him.
"How... how did you find out about the Cayman accounts?" Arthur whispered, his voice entirely devoid of its previous arrogance, reduced to a hollow, trembling plea.
Julian released his grip abruptly, letting Arthur slump unceremoniously onto the polished floor at his feet. Julian smoothed down the front of his flawless double-breasted suit, stepping backward with absolute disdain.
"You were always too careless with your digital footprint, Arthur," Julian replied coldly, turning his back on the defeated heir to look down at Clara. "Shall we go inside now, Clara? The real owners of this estate are waiting to meet you."

Clara took a deep, steadying breath, stepping past the shattered glass and the ruined heir, ready to claim her vengeance—until a sharp voice from the shadows stopped them dead in their tracks.
