Chapter 4: The Diary of Four Years
By 9:00 PM, Dr. Harrison arrived with a mobile genetic sequencing unit.
Using high-throughput PCR saliva swabs, the laboratory unit completed a 16-locus chromosomal analysis in less than thirty minutes.
Dr. Harrison walked into the library where Alexander, Clara, and Leo sat by the fire. He laid the printed molecular graph on the mahogany desk.
""Alexander,"" Dr. Harrison said, his voice reverent and solemn. ""The paternity probability is 99.9999%. Leo Nolan is your direct biological son.""
Alexander closed his eyes, letting out a long, shuddering breath.
Clara pulled an old leather-bound journal from her pocket and placed it beside the medical report.
Inside were four years of documented evidence:
* The original threatening text messages sent from Victoria Kensington’s private phone.
* Bank deposit slips showing Victoria had forged Clara’s signature on the clinic termination releases.
* Audio recordings of Victoria warning Clara: *""If Alexander ever sees that boy's face, I will destroy you both.""*
Alexander turned the pages, each line a damning indictment of the woman he had intended to marry.
He stood up, picked up his phone, and dialed Marcus Cole, the Chief Legal Counsel for Sterling Global.
