The Kensington estate was liquidated under federal civil asset forfeiture statutes to pay back millions in stolen pension reserves.
Alexander reviewed the final court notices on his tablet while sitting on the porch at Martha’s Vineyard, the evening breeze rustling the cedar shingles above.
He felt no vindictive joy, no triumphant malice.
He simply closed the file, deleted the notification, and walked down to the boat dock to help Leo and Clara rig their small wooden dory for an evening sail.
