Chapter 15: The Echoes of Joy

That evening, as a gentle summer breeze blew through the open windows, the family gathered on the back porch to watch the sunset over the rolling hills of the estate.
Leo sat on the steps, holding a notebook and a set of colored pencils, drawing the sunset. Ethan walked over and sat beside him, watching his son's steady hands create brilliant strokes of orange, purple, and gold across the page.
"That's a beautiful drawing, Leo," Ethan said.
"Thanks, Dad," Leo smiled, blowing on the paper. "I'm making a storybook for Clara when she grows up. So she knows how our family started."
Ethan’s heart swelled with pride. "What's the story called?"
Leo flipped back to the cover page, where he had written the title in neat, proud handwriting: The Boy, The Prince, and The Brave Mommy.
"It's about a boy who lived in a small house with his brave mom," Leo explained, pointing at the drawings. "And how they found a prince who fought off the bad shadows so they could all live in a castle together."
Ethan chuckled, pulling his son close into a side hug. "I think that's the best story I've ever heard."
Sarah stepped out onto the porch, carrying Clara in her arms. She walked over and sat on the other side of Ethan, leaning her head against his shoulder as they all watched the sky turn from gold to twilight.

The echoes that once filled the Sterling estate—echoes of silence, fear, and hidden pain—were gone forever. In their place remained only the sweet, enduring echoes of laughter, love, and a family that had fought through the darkest night to find their morning light.
They sat together in the warm summer air, holding each other close, knowing that whatever the future brought, they would face it as one—unbroken, unafraid, and forever home.
