Chapter 6: Learning to be a Father

The first week was a disaster. Jax knew how to negotiate multi-million dollar contracts, but he had no idea how to braid a toddler's hair or comfort a child having a night terror.
On Thursday night, Leo woke up screaming, thrashing under the silk sheets. Jax rushed into the guest room, pulling the trembling boy into his arms.
""I'm here, Leo. I'm right here,"" Jax whispered, holding him tight.

""You're safe,"" Jax murmured, tears pricking his eyes. ""I'm not going anywhere.""
