Chapter 15: The Full Circle

A year later, on a bright Sunday morning, Jax took Leo and Maya back to the small bakery where their story began.

The waitress who had once looked at them with suspicion smiled warmly as they walked in, placing a fresh tray of warm cinnamon rolls on their table.

Jax pulled out his wallet to pay, but this time, next to his cards, sat the old, faded photograph. He looked at Leo, whose cheeks were now full and healthy, his eyes bright with happiness.

""What are you thinking about, Dad?"" Leo asked, taking a bite of his pastry.
