CHAPTER 15: The Unbroken Dawn

That evening, Grace returned to her new apartment—a sunlit, cozy loft overlooking the water, far removed from the cold marble estate she had once shared with Nathan.
She prepared a pot of chamomile tea. As she poured the amber liquid into a simple ceramic mug, she paused, looking at her steady reflection in the water. There was no hesitation, no ghost of suspicion lingering in her thoughts. She drank the tea, enjoying its warmth and natural sweetness.
On her bedside table lay a framed photograph: Clara and Grace as teenagers, arms slung around each other's shoulders on a sunny beach, laughing without a care in the world.
Grace picked up the small, worn kraft envelope from her drawer—the envelope that had rested beneath the bed on that fateful night. Inside it, she placed a small handwritten note of her own, sealing it with a simple wax stamp:
May you like
> *“To anyone searching in the dark: The night is never absolute. Hold your ground, seek the truth, and the dawn will meet you.”*
She set the envelope on her bookshelf alongside her favorite literature, turned off the lamp, and climbed into bed. As she closed her eyes, sleep came easily, accompanied not by fear, but by the quiet, radiant peace of absolute freedom.
