CHAPTER 11: The Fall of the Vance Syndicate

The broadcast ignited a firestorm across the country. Within an hour, Elena Ramos’s investigative report was syndicated across every major news network. The audio recording of Nathan admitting to systematic poisoning, paired with the detailed ledgers from the hard drive, made the Vanguard network impossible to sweep under the rug.

Deputy Commissioner Marcus Vance was arrested in his office by the Department of Justice before he could board a chartered flight to Panama. Over thirty corporate executives, compromised officials, and corrupt law enforcement personnel were taken into custody across three states.

Julian Miller was rescued from an abandoned rail yard where Nathan’s henchmen had detained him. Though bruised and battered, his spirit was triumphant as he walked into the federal courthouse with his original manuscripts.

Grace sat in a private conference room inside the U.S. Attorney’s Office, wrapped in a warm fleece blanket, drinking a cup of clean, pure water. Federal prosecutors sat across from her, their expressions a mix of reverence and disbelief.

"Mrs. Vance," the lead attorney said gently. "Your sister's evidence and your testimony have completely dismantled one of the most dangerous white-collar cartels on the West Coast. You saved hundreds of families from financial ruin."
