CHAPTER 14: Restoring the Light

Six months later, the Clara Sterling Foundation opened its permanent headquarters in the restored industrial loft where Julian had once kept his clandestine safehouse. The dark, foreboding warehouse had been transformed into an open-concept community center and newsroom, flooded with natural light from floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

Grace stood at the podium on opening day, addressing a room packed with journalists, legal advocates, and families who had been wronged by corporate corruption.

"Courage isn't the absence of terror," Grace said to the silent, attentive audience. "Courage is what happens when your hands are shaking, when your voice is barely a whisper, and you choose to reach for the truth anyway. Darkness thrives when we are silenced by fear, but a single voice, armed with facts and love, can tear down the strongest fortress of lies."

Applause erupted across the room. In the front row, Elena Ramos nodded with profound respect.
