Chapter 14: Restoring Honor**

On a sunny Saturday morning, Elena, Sofia, and Julian traveled to the cemetery in upstate New York where Rosa Cruz was laid to rest.
Workers were installing a newly engraved headstone beneath the shade of an old oak tree. The old, modest marker was replaced with polished gray granite. It read:
> **ROSA CRUZ** > *1968 – 2018* > *A beacon of integrity, an unyielding defender of the working soul.* > *"Truth always finds its way to the surface."*
Sofia placed a bouquet of fresh white roses at the base of the stone. Tears rolled gently down her cheeks, but her face was serene with peace.
"She would be so proud of you, Elena," Sofia whispered.
"She would be proud of us both," Elena replied, wrapping her arm around her sister's shoulders.
Julian stepped forward, bowing his head in quiet contemplation. He placed a small bronze plaque next to the flowers—an official posthumous Medal of Industrial Integrity awarded by the State Department of Labor.

"The debt is finally paid, Rosa," Julian whispered silently to the wind.
