Chapter 10: The Eve of the Storm**

With Thomas and Marcus in the rectory, Julian laid out the final pieces of the evidence on Father Dominic’s desk: the forged trust documents, the offshore wire transfers, the physical telemetry from Cole’s mercenary unit, and Thomas’s audio recording.
“This is enough to put Evelyn and Arthur away for thirty years,” Julian said, staring at the flashing red light of the external hard drive.
“The problem isn’t the evidence, Jules,” Marcus cautioned, lighting a cigarette outside the open window. “The problem is getting it into the room. Arthur has private security locking down the corporate tower. They’ll shoot you before you ever step out of the elevator.”
Julian looked over at Lily, who was still sleeping peacefully beneath the soft candlelight of the church. She looked so innocent, so entirely detached from the greed and corruption that threatened to consume her future.
For years, Julian had believed that providing wealth and comfort was the ultimate duty of a father. Now, he realized that true wealth was the moral courage to dismantle the monsters lurking in the dark, no matter how close to home they resided.
“We don’t use the elevator,” Julian said calmly, his eyes hardening with absolute resolve. “And we don’t run anymore. We make them show their hand in front of the entire world.”
“What are you thinking, Mr. Vance?” Thomas asked.
Julian turned to his brother and smiled faintly. “Marcus… remember that old broadcast override system we installed in the tower basement during the 2018 corporate upgrade?”
