CHAPTER 14: The Sunflower Garden

Months passed, turning into a warm and peaceful summer.
The old countryside manor was no longer cold and dusty. The wooden shutters were open, letting in the ocean breeze, and the gardens surrounding the estate were filled with bright yellow sunflowers—just like in Clara’s final painting.
Lily, now healthy, happy, and vibrant, ran through the flower fields, her bright red curls bouncing in the sunlight. She wore a simple summer dress, her laughter echoing across the hills.
Julian sat on the wooden porch, watching her with a cup of tea in his hand. Marcus walked up the steps, holding a folder of light administrative paperwork for the foundation.
""She looks completely at home here,"" Marcus smiled, leaning against the porch railing.

""She brought home back to me,"" Julian replied softly, looking at his little sister. ""I used to think success was measured by numbers on a screen or the size of an estate. But looking at her... I realize success is just making sure the people you love feel safe.""
""Clara would be immensely proud of you, Julian,"" Marcus said warmly, placing a gentle hand on his friend's shoulder.
