Chapter 15: A Vow of Freedom**

Julian stood up and offered his hand, guiding Clara toward the edge of the terrace overlooking the blooming rose gardens.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box, opening it to reveal a simple, elegant ring featuring an unblemished sapphire.
"When I first brought you to this house, I offered you a cage with a gold lock," Julian said, his voice rich with genuine emotion. "I wanted someone to play a part in my survival. But you didn't just play a part—you saved my humanity. You showed me that life isn't about fighting the monsters; it's about having something pure to protect."
He looked directly into her eyes, entirely vulnerable, holding nothing back.
"I don't want a contract, Clara. I don't want a caregiver, or a fake bride, or an alliance. I want you. For real. If you'll have me."
Tears of joy brimmed in Clara’s eyes. The dark days of fear and deceit were truly gone, replaced by an authentic, hard-won love.

Julian wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her off her feet as he spun her under the warm afternoon sun. As their lips met in a passionate, liberating kiss, they both knew that the greatest victory wasn't breaking their enemies—it was discovering the strength to love again.
