Chapter 14: The New Dawn**

Three months passed.
The Vance Empire was completely restructured under Julian’s transparent leadership. The stolen assets were reclaimed, and a massive charitable foundation was established in memory of Julian’s late parents, dedicated to funding investigative journalism and aiding victims of corporate crime.
The gloomy, suffocating atmosphere of Vance Manor had vanished. Sunlight now poured through open bay windows, filling the halls with the scent of fresh white lilies and jasmine.
Clara sat in the sunlit garden terrace, reviewing the foundation’s scholarship applications. She heard footsteps on the gravel path and looked up to see Julian walking toward her, wearing a simple linen shirt and jeans—unburdened, relaxed, and impossibly handsome.
"You've been working all morning," Julian teased, pulling up a chair beside her and handing her a cup of fresh peach tea. "The board of directors is going to think you’re taking my job."
"Someone has to keep you honest, Mr. Vance," Clara smiled, taking a sip.
Julian’s gaze softened as he reached across the table, his fingers intertwining with hers. "Our original contract expired last week, Clara."

Clara’s heart skipped a beat. A sudden, quiet fear touched her eyes. "I know."
