CHAPTER 12: THE SEASIDE REUNION

Six months after the scandal, during the early autumn season, Arthur suggested a weekend trip to the coastal town where Victoria was living. It was not a trip driven by drama or legal business, but an invitation for closure and mutual respect.
They met at a small, open-air café near the seaside boardwalk. Victoria arrived wearing a colorful knitted sweater, her face radiant with health and simple contentment. She was now teaching art classes to local children and painting murals for community centers.
When Lily saw Victoria, the little girl didn't hesitate. She ran forward, her little feet pitter-pattering on the wooden boardwalk.
""Aunt Victoria!"" Lily cheered, wrapping her arms around Victoria’s legs.
Victoria gasped slightly, tears of joy filling her eyes as she knelt down to hug Lily tightly. ""Hello, my sweet girl,"" she whispered gently.
Arthur, Julian, Clara, and Eleanor joined them at a large wooden table overlooking the ocean waves crashing against the rocks. The conversation flowed naturally, free of the old judgment and unspoken pressures that used to choke their interactions.
""I watched the press conference video,"" Victoria told Arthur and Julian softly. ""What you are doing with the foundation... it's incredible. It will help so many people who feel trapped in their grief.""
""We all needed a new direction,"" Julian said, looking out at the sea. ""How is the painting going?""

""It's wonderful,"" Victoria smiled warmly. ""For the first time in my life, I'm making things that are messy, real, and imperfect. And I love it.""
Julian smiled back—a warm, sincere smile of two friends who had successfully navigated through a storm and reached safe shores. There was no bitterness left, only a deep appreciation for the healing journey they had both completed.
