As winter approached, The Grain & Gallery began receiving regional attention. A prominent architectural magazine featured their sustainable designs, leading to commission requests from across the state.
One afternoon, a wealthy elderly woman walked into the shop, admiring a large dining table made from reclaimed white oak. Amy walked over to greet her.
""This work is extraordinary,"" the woman remarked, running her fingers over the smooth wood. ""It feels like it has a soul.""
""It does,"" Amy smiled. ""This wood came from an old barn built in the 1920s. It survived fires and storms, but instead of being thrown away, we repurposed it into something that can gather families together for another century.""
