Chapter 9: The Journey Home

Three weeks later, Olivia was discharged from the hospital. Instead of returning to the cramped, leaky apartment they used to rent, Julian brought them to his quiet estate outside the city—a place built with peaceful gardens and vast green hills.
When Arthur stepped into his new room, complete with bookshelves, art supplies, and a window overlooking the mountains, he stood frozen. ""Is all of this for me?"" he asked quietly.
Julian squatted next to him. ""Everything I have is yours, Arthur. But more importantly, this is a place where you never have to worry about cold winters or missing meals again."" Arthur looked at his father, the last wall of suspicion in his young heart finally crumbling away.
