Chapter 15 - Dawn at Blackwood Manor

The first golden rays of the autumn sun broke over the manicured lawns of Blackwood Manor, casting a warm, healing light across the grand entrance where the wilting white floral arrangements had finally been cleared away. The heavy front doors stood wide open, welcoming the fresh morning breeze that carried no scent of deceit or fear.
Arthur stood on the front steps, wearing a fresh, sharply pressed navy suit, watching the federal transport vehicles roll down the circular gravel drive. In the back of the lead cruiser sat Elena and Marcus, their reign of calculated terror officially brought to an abrupt and permanent halt. The federal audit of the offshore accounts had not only cleared Arthur of any wrongdoing, but had also successfully seized the entirety of the embezzled funds to be returned to Hall Enterprises.
Beside Arthur, six-year-old Leo wore a crisp striped polo shirt and beige pants, holding tightly to his father’s hand. Maya stood a few paces away, wearing a clean, bright maid uniform and a genuine, unburdened smile as she helped the estate staff restore the grand foyer to its former glory.
“Dad?” Leo asked softly, looking up with bright, clear eyes that carried no trace of the shadows from the past week. “Are we going to stay here now?”
Arthur knelt down on the front steps, pulling both Leo and Thomas into a warm, protective embrace, feeling the solid, enduring strength of his family restored at last.

“Yes, son,” Arthur whispered, resting his chin gently on Leo’s head as he looked out across the peaceful estate. “We’re home. And no one is ever going to take that away from us again.”
Maya walked over, holding a small tray with fresh coffee, her eyes shining with unshed tears of relief. She handed a cup to Arthur, who looked up and nodded with deep, profound gratitude. The nightmare of Blackwood Manor was finally over, replaced by a hard-earned dawn of truth, justice, and unyielding love that would echo through the halls for generations to come.
