Chapter 15: Beyond the Horizon**

One year later.
The private banking hall in Geneva was quiet again, the marble polished to an immaculate shine. Monsieur Henri Laurent sat at his desk, adjusting his gold-rimmed glasses as he reviewed the day's routine wire transfers.
A young courier approached, placing a small, elegant envelope on his blotter.
"Personal delivery for Monsieur Laurent. No return address."
Laurent opened the envelope with an ivory letter opener. Inside was a single postcard showing a sun-drenched lighthouse overlooking a turquoise sea.
On the back, in neat, elegant script, was written:
*“Dear Monsieur Laurent,*
*The account is balanced. The seeds have bloomed.*
*Thank you for believing a little girl with a heavy suitcase.*
*— Camille & Arthur”*
Attached to the postcard was a small photograph of Camille and her father standing together on a sailboat, their faces glowing with broad, genuine smiles, wind in their hair, heading toward the open horizon.
Laurent looked at the photograph for a long moment. A warm, quiet smile broke across his dignified face.

He slid the postcard into the top drawer of his desk, beside his most treasured possessions, closed the drawer, and looked up at the sunny Geneva sky through the vault’s towering glass windows.
The debt was paid. The storm had passed. And somewhere out beyond the waves, the light was still shining.
