Chapter 14: The Elena Foundation**

Over the next month, the whitewashed cottage became a sanctuary of restoration.
Arthur’s injuries healed under the warm Corsican sun, while Camille learned the names of the constellations from the lighthouse gallery at night. The news of the Vanguard Coalition's total legal collapse continued to echo across international media, but inside the cottage, life moved to the slow, rhythmic beat of the sea.
One morning, Director Vance and Marcus arrived by boat, carrying a thick binder of incorporation papers.
They sat around the wooden kitchen table, drinking strong coffee and fresh lemonade.
"The assets have been fully repatriated," Vance announced, placing a pen in Camille's hand. "The board has been formed. Over forty community centers, pediatric clinics, and wildlife reserves across Europe and South America are now protected in perpetuity under the Elena Hayes Trust."
"We need the founder's signature to ratify the charter," Arthur said, looking at his daughter with a pride that filled the entire room.
Camille looked at the document. At the top was her mother's name, framed by the silhouette of an olive branch.
She signed her name clearly at the bottom: *Camille Hayes, Custodian.*
"What will the foundation's first project be?" Vance asked.
May you like
Camille smiled, looking out the open window toward the sparkling water. "Building schools where nobody has to be afraid of the truth."
