For six months, Clara retreated completely from the public eye.

The Sterling family launched an aggressive smear campaign through their tabloid contacts, claiming Clara was an opportunist who had staged the entire incident for social media fame. But Clara refused to respond. She deleted her social media accounts, changed her phone number, and spent twelve hours a day in Odette’s studio.
