Julian opened his encrypted phone. For seven years, he had quietly gathered financial evidence against his former associates, lacking the witness testimony to make it stick legally without destroying innocent lives.
"I have their accounts," Julian said. "Every dirty bribe, every offshore vault."
"And I have their physical manifests," Scott added, pulling a battered hard drive from his coat. "Together, we don’t just run. We bring them down."
Leo sat on an overturned crate, holding the ticking watch against his chest. "Are we going home after this, Dad?"
