Chapter 15: Time Well Kept**

As the sun began to dip behind the mountains, casting golden ripples across the lake, Leo walked up to Julian and handed him the stainless steel watch.
"You should wear it again," Leo said solemnly. "Dad said it belongs to a hero."
Julian looked down at the scratched watch face, then knelt down to Leo's eye level. He took the boy's wrist and carefully strapped the watch around it, adjusting the links to fit.

"Keep it, Leo," Julian smiled, tapping the glass. "It doesn't tell the time of debts anymore. It counts the moments we have left together."
Leo looked up at his father and Julian, his smile brighter than the sunset, knowing that the ghosts of the past were finally at rest.
