Chapter 15: Two Hearts, One Name**

A year after that fateful night at the restaurant, Eleanor and Elena stood together on the cliffs of Camden, Maine. The old, decaying boat house had been completely demolished. In its place stood a beautiful, open-air coastal sanctuary dedicated to victims of missing children.
The ocean breeze blew softly, carrying the clean scent of pine and salt.
Eleanor reached into her coat and pulled out the antique silver heart-shaped locket. Elena took out hers. Together, they held them up against the golden sunset.
With a soft, resonant *click*, the two halves snapped together, forming one complete, beautifully weathered heart.
"For twenty-two years, I looked at this locket every single night and felt a void that nothing could fill," Eleanor said softly, resting her head on Elena's shoulder. "I thought my life was over the day I lost you."

Elena wrapped her arm around Eleanor, holding her close. "You never truly lost me, Mom. We were just waiting for the right moment to find each other."
They turned back toward the path leading to the sunlit estate, walking side-by-side into a future no longer defined by shadows, secrets, or lost time—united forever as mother and daughter.
