CHAPTER 14: Healing the Scars

Trauma does not vanish overnight; it requires patience, grace, and time.

There were nights when Noah woke up in a cold sweat, crying out in fear that his mother was just a dream and that he would wake up back in the cold, silent wing of the estate. On those nights, Elena would sit beside his bed, singing the soft sparrow lullaby until his breathing steadied.

"I'm here, Noah. I'm right here," she would whisper into the darkness. "Feel my hand. Look at the star."

And Noah would press his wrist against hers, matching the birthmarks in the moonlight, grounding himself in the absolute certainty of her presence.

Julian, too, underwent his own quiet healing. He stepped back from the cutthroat corporate rat race, dedicating half of his working week to directing the child protection foundation. He learned to cook, volunteered at youth centers, and shed the shallow trappings of high-society vanity.
