Chapter 6: A Race Against the Night**

Within twenty minutes, Dr. Bennett and two pediatric nurses arrived at the penthouse, wheeling portable medical equipment into the master bedroom.
"Severe pneumonia, acute malnutrition, and dangerously high fever," Dr. Bennett declared after a rapid examination, his face grim. "She’s been living in sub-zero dampness for weeks with zero medical intervention. Her immune system is nearly collapsed. We need to administer IV antibiotics and stabilize her oxygen immediately."
Arthur stood by the window, watching the medical team work frantically around the little bed. For the first time in his life, all his billions, his corporate influence, and his private security details were completely useless. He could buy an entire hospital wing with a stroke of a pen, but he could not force breath into his daughter's tiny lungs.
He walked over, sinking to his knees beside the bed, taking Lily’s limp, needle-pricked hand between both of his.
"Stay with me, Lily," Arthur whispered, tears streaming openly down his face. "Please. I lost your mother. Don't let me lose you too."
As the monitors beeped rhythmically through the darkest hours of the night, Arthur made a silent vow. If Lily survived, he would dismantle the ruthless empire he had built on cold greed and rebuild his life around the only thing that truly mattered: love, family, and redemption.
Around 4:00 AM, Lily's fever finally broke. Her ragged gasps eased into steady, peaceful breathing. Dr. Bennett let out a long sigh of relief, patting Arthur's trembling shoulder.
"She’s a fighter, Arthur. The crisis has passed. She’s going to make it."
