Chapter 14: Return to the Rail Yard**

That afternoon, after the school ceremony, Arthur and Lily took a quiet drive out to Queens.

The abandoned rail yard and crumbling bridge where Clara had taken her final breaths had undergone a complete transformation. Funded entirely by the foundation, the once-sordid alley had been turned into the **Clara Hughes Memorial Park**—a vibrant green sanctuary with blooming cherry blossoms, children's playgrounds, and a modern community clinic operating at its center.

Arthur and Lily walked along the stone path until they reached the center of the park, where a bronze statue of a mother sheltering a child under a blossoming tree stood beside a tranquil fountain.

Lily walked up to the fountain, pulled a shiny quarter from her pocket, and looked up at Arthur. "Can I make a wish, Daddy?"

"Always, Lily," Arthur replied, placing a loving hand on her head.

Lily closed her eyes, whispered a silent prayer, and tossed the coin into the sparkling water.

"What did you wish for?" Arthur asked gently.

Lily wrapped both arms around his waist, burying her face into his coat. "I wished that every hungry kid in the world finds a daddy like mine."

Arthur felt an overwhelming wave of humility wash over him. He knew he had spent half his life walking the wrong path, but grace had given him a second chance—delivered by a child in a burlap dress.
