Chapter 13: The Unbroken Circle**

Two years passed.
On a bright June morning, the sun illuminated the grand auditorium of St. Jude’s Elementary School. It was graduation day for the first-grade class.
Arthur sat in the third row, dressed in a comfortable linen shirt and slacks. Sitting beside him were Mrs. Higgins and Marcus, both beaming with genuine pride. Arthur looked around the crowded auditorium, filled with ordinary working-class families cheering for their children. He had never felt more at peace, completely detached from the hollow vanity of his previous existence.
When the principal called Lily’s name, the seven-year-old girl walked proudly across the stage. Her cheeks were full and rosy, her braided hair gleamed in the stage lights, and around her neck hung the restored silver heart locket, polished until it shone like a mirror.
She received the school's annual *Kindness and Empathy Award* for helping a newly arrived immigrant classmate learn English.
Standing at the podium microphone, Lily smiled brightly at the audience. "My mom always told me that even in the coldest storm, a small light can guide you home. My dad became that light for me. I share this award with them."

The entire auditorium erupted into warm applause. Arthur wiped a stray tear from his eye, his chest bursting with unadulterated joy.
