Chapter 6: The Arrival of Light

Inside the delivery room, the world shrank down to the steady beep of the heart monitor and the synchronized rhythm of Elena's breathing. For nine intense hours, Arthur stayed right by her side, holding her hand, wiping sweat from her forehead, and whispering words of encouragement.
""You're doing amazing, Elena. Just a little more,"" he urged, his voice filled with admiration and love.
With one final push, a sharp, healthy cry filled the delivery room. The doctors quickly dried the newborn and placed her directly onto Elena’s chest.
""It’s a girl,"" the doctor smiled softly. ""A healthy baby girl.""
Elena wept tears of pure joy, resting her chin against the soft, warm head of her daughter. Arthur collapsed into the chair beside the bed, weeping openly as he gently wrapped his broad hand around the baby's tiny fingers.
""What should we name her?"" Arthur asked, his voice trembling with emotion.
Elena looked up at him, her eyes shining with peace. ""Maya. It means 'illusion' in ancient texts, but in our language, it means 'light.' She represents the light that came after the dark.""
