As she capped the vial, the subterranean lights snapped to glaring red. The heavy steel doors locked with a magnetic thud. Slow, echoing footsteps approached from the shadows.

""I have to admit, Grace. I underestimated you,"" Nathan’s voice echoed through the chamber. He stepped into the light, flanked by two armed guards. He looked pristine, wearing a bespoke suit, a stark contrast to the monster he was. ""Did you really think my security wouldn't flag your badge the second it hit the scanner?""
