Chapter 15: The New Beginning**

Two years later, the lawn of the lakeside cottage was decorated with garlands of fresh white lilies and golden daffodils. The morning sun cast a warm, shimmering glow over the clear water as gentle acoustic guitar music drifted through the trees.
There was no extravagant crowd—only Arthur Vance, the staff of the Miller Center, close community friends, and the people who truly mattered.
Clara stood under an arch woven from birch branches and wild blossoms, wearing a simple, elegant lace gown that flowed softly in the summer breeze. Her cheeks were flushed with vibrant health, her eyes radiant with joy and inner peace.
Victor stood waiting at the end of the aisle in a sharp grey suit, looking at Clara with unmasked devotion.
Annie, now a joyful seven-year-old in a blush-pink flower girl dress, walked proudly down the aisle, scattering flower petals with a wide, bright smile. She reached the altar and took both Victor’s and Clara’s hands, joining them together.
"We have weathered every storm," Victor vowed, slipping a simple gold band onto Clara’s finger, his voice steady with emotion. "I promise to stand by you, to honor your strength, and to protect our family with every breath I have."
"You brought us out of the darkness and gave us a home," Clara answered, tears of happiness slipping down her cheeks as she placed a matching band on his hand. "I choose you today, tomorrow, and for all our days to come."

As the minister pronounced them husband and wife, the small gathering cheered. Victor leaned down to lift Annie into his arms while pulling Clara close into a tender, long-awaited embrace.
The nightmare of the past was finally buried, replaced by a life built on unconditional love, redemption, and the unbreakable bond of family.
