Chapter 10: Into the Viper's Nest**

Midnight fell over the industrial harbor of Lake Michigan. Cargo ships loomed like rusted iron beasts against the foggy skyline. Pier 42 was completely locked down, patrolled by Dominic’s remaining loyalists loading shipping containers with crates of illicit funds, gold bullion, and server hard drives.
Marcus approached through the shadows of the crane yard, moving silently beneath the deafening roar of industrial generators. Dressed in all black, he was no longer a man running from his past; he was retribution coming to collect a debt.
Using the dense fog and rain as cover, he systematically neutralized the dock guards one by one, disarming security cameras and cutting power lines to plunge the loading bay into pitch blackness.
Emergency red backup lights flickered on, casting long, bloody shadows across the metal containers. Panic spread among the mobsters as their radios went dead one after another.
From the observation deck of the primary freighter, Dominic watched the chaos unfold through binoculars, his face pale with dread.
"Find him!" Dominic screamed into his megaphone at his bodyguards. "He’s just one man! Kill him!"

A cold voice spoke from the shadows behind the control room doorway: "One man is all it takes, Dominic."
